iPhone steps

  1. Open Settings › Accessibility › Hearing Devices on your iPhone.
  2. Restart your hearing aids (open and close the battery doors, or take them out of the charger).
  3. Tap your hearing aid when it shows, then tap Pair (twice if you wear two).
  4. Open ReSound Smart 3D and tap Get started.

Android steps

  1. Check your phone at resound.com/compatibility.
  2. Turn on Bluetooth. Install ReSound Smart 3D from Google Play.
  3. Open the app, accept the terms, and tap Get started. Do not pair from Android’s Bluetooth menu.
  4. Restart your hearing aids near the phone when the app asks. You may be asked to restart them a second time to secure the connection. Wait for the green check mark.

Varies by model

Direct Android streaming needs a compatible phone (Android 10 or later) and compatible hearing aids. Otherwise ReSound suggests the PhoneClip+ accessory. Newer ReSound models may use a different ReSound app. Check the app your provider set up.

Common questions

Which app do ReSound hearing aids use?

ReSound Smart 3D for many models. Some newer models use a newer ReSound app, so check with your provider.

Should I pair ReSound from Android Bluetooth settings?

No. ReSound says to pair through the Smart 3D app on Android, not the phone's Bluetooth menu.

Where is the hearing aid setting on iPhone?

Open Settings, tap Accessibility, then tap Hearing Devices. Apple's own support page describes this path.
