Hearing aid cleaning & maintenance helper
Quick answer: Wipe your hearing aids with a dry soft cloth every day, keep them dry overnight (or in their charger), and change wax guards and domes when sound gets weak or muffled. Exactly when depends on your model and your ears, so follow your user guide and provider.

Daily
- Wipe with a soft, dry cloth or tissue. Don’t use water, alcohol, or cleaning sprays unless your user guide says so.
- Brush wax off the microphone openings and receiver with the small brush that came with your hearing aids.
- Store them dry, in the charger (rechargeable) or a case with the battery doors open.
When sound gets weak or muffled
- Check and replace the wax guard/filter. Some apps, like Oticon Companion on newer models, can remind you.
- Replace domes when they get stiff, discolored, or loose.
Wax guard and dome sizes are model-specific. Use the parts your provider gave you or the ones named in your user guide.
